Cala Bassa
Cala Bassa, Ibiza, Balearics, Spain
This striking half-moon shaped bay is ringed by Sabrina pines and low cliffs.
It features a 250 metre long sandy beach, which sheltered by steep hillsides is often compared to a fjord. The beach was recently awarded a Blue Flag status.
The sea bed has a gentle gradient and is great for families, especially with many sporting facilities available in the Summer months. The beach does tend to get busy in the peak summer months with the arrival of the regular bus and boats from the nearby San Antonio.
Sunbeds and pedal-boats are available for the less energetic, as are a few cool Ibiza style cafes.
