On northeast coast, 12 miles northeast of Ibiza Town 3 miles from Santa Eulalia and 16 miles from airport. Pinewoods slope gently down to crescent shaped beach within circular bay facing two small islands about 1/2 mile offshore. The resort is grouped around either end of the beach with hotels dominating the north end. Lively by day and night, the resort boasts a small harbour and an expansive beach where you can unwind and join in a choice of watersports. There are more than sufficient shops, bars and restaurants, many of them providing late-night entertainment. Another attraction is the popular Wednesday �??Hippy market�?�, originally started in the 1970�??s and held in the open air. You will find a large number of open air craft stalls, although it does get very busy in the summer months.. A recent addition to the charm of Es Cana, is a purpose built promenade that stretches to Cala Nova in the North. For the more peaceful atmosphere, a number of neighbouring beaches can be reached by taking the coastal paths leading from the resort.
